Taravo has its source near the  neck verde above Zicavo .

It is divided into 3 distinct areas:

  • Tavaro up with its pine lariccu forests and its beeches centenarian.
  • The tavaro means and its chestnut

Taravo down with its olive trees and fragrant scrub with a brand which is produced  Corsican essential oils and cosmetics.

Sports area

This is particulary a popular area of sports activity with a kayak internationally recognized high level as well as a strong attendance of hikers with the GR 20 
In the top tavaro, a communal pedestrian paths (see the  Community of communes ) many mountain bike trails but also as the course mare et mare and  mare e monti providing multiple opportunities for walks to explore the varied landscapes of this beautiful region of Corse-du-sud.

Between sea and mountains.

The Gulf of Valinco hosts two rivers : the Tavaro and Rizzanese whose mouths we offer wonderful beaches and the pretty little town of Propriano and its port served by shipping companies throughout the year. (see the website of the tourist office to Propriano, Sarthène and Valinco).

Entre mer et montagne

Le golfe du Valinco accueille deux fleuves : le Taravo et le Rizzanese dont les embouchures nous offrent de merveilleuses plages, ainsi que la jolie petite ville de Propriano et son port desservit par des compagnies maritimes toute l'année.
